While domain names are not as critical for search engine optimization as they once were they’re still relevant. Particularly to people. People, not search spiders, read websites.
Having said that I am by no means saying to abandon valid, ethical, SEO techniques. Search spiders are the web’s primary filters. The main, and ultimately final, filter is a real, living, breathing, person.
A person looking for an answer to a question, looking to solve a problem or just looking for the best way to do something. Let’s look at an example:
Your GMC 1500 Sierra pickup truck is running poorly. Although you’re not an auto mechanic, per se, you’re not without skills. You decide to see if tuning it up yourself will first, be practical, and second, economical.
You jump online and type “pickup truck tune up” into your favorite search engine. the search returns several thousand results. You start looking at them.
The description for one says, “tune up your sierra 1500 p/u truck”. It’s at a site named, “abnersfloristandseptictankcleaning.com”.
Your second result description is, “quickly, easily, cheaply tune your 1500 series gmc pickup”. The site URL is “1500seriestuneuptips.com”.
Which one will you look at first? Abner may have been the Honors Graduate of his auto tech course at Podunk Holler Vocational Institute—or not. But, his site doesn’t seem to relate as closely to your need as the second. You’re likely to click on the site that seems more likely to answer your question. In this case the second, “1500seriestuneuptips.com”.
This, granted, somewhat extreme illustration was offered for a reason.
I’m offering an unused, surplus to needs, domain name for sale.
The domain name is almost three years old and is not currently hosted.
cbsupremacy.com was originally registered for a ClickBank related product. The product, like many, didn’t do as well as my partner and I anticipated so we dropped it.
Spend a few minutes thinking how this TLD could benefit your business now, or in the future.
A couple thought occur:
Use it to promote ClickBank products
Use it to sell a ClickBank tutorial
Use it for your third party ClickBank filtering system/software
The possibilities are there.
If you agree and believe this domain name, “cbsupremacy.com” has potential value make me an offer Saturday, July 30, 2011.
My gmail address is “hurlserv” at gmail.com. (without the quotes and spaces and replace the ‘at’ with ‘@’
Kindly put “cbsupremacy offer” in the subject line.
Thanks for taking your time to read this little pitch,
